For their engagement session, Marcelo and Morrill wanted to do something that actually felt like them. So we went to State Park, drank Miller High Lifes, hung out, and took photos.
A manager at State Park once told me that the space is a kind of dive bar graveyard. When they were creating the interior, they reused details from other dive bars that were closing down, bits and pieces of former haunts .
I've always loved that idea: that State Park holds pieces of all these former Massachusetts dives. A little bit of an homage to places people loved, laughed, and drank.
