Harvard Square portraits, followed by a restaurant ceremony and celebration
GUSTAZO, CAMBRIDGE
Fabiola and Vince's wedding day took us all over Cambridge. We started with family portraits in Harvard Yard, wandered around Harvard Square for couples portraits, stopped into a couple of their favorite places for photos, hopped on the Red Line, and eventually made our way to Gustazo for an intimate ceremony and celebration.
HARVARD YARD
We started the day with family portraits in Harvard Yard. Family gathered, chatted, and took pictures on teh library steps.
HARVARD SQUARE
Fabiola and Vince wanted their wedding photos to reflect their love of Cambridge and some of their favorite businesses so I reached out to Leavitt & Peirce to see if they’d let us take some portraits inside. They were kind to agree to let us use the space.
There’s something really fun about being dressed up and getting to take your wedding portraits in places you actually love. The old cigar store interior gave us such a different backdrop from the rest of Harvard Square, with all of its dark wood, game room on the balcony and and old-school details.
From the old-school cigar store, we headed to Charlie’s Kitchen for something completely different: dive bar portraits.
I love this kind of contrast. You’re all dressed up, but instead of putting you in front of some generic wedding backdrop, we get to go hang out in one of your favorite places and make photographs there.
Honestly, getting dressed up and then taking photos in all your favorite places is a pretty great way to spend a wedding day.
THE RED LINE
I love public transit, and I especially love when couples get to keep living a little bit of their normal city life on a day that is anything but normal.
So we took the Red Line. Fabiola and Vince, all dressed up, heading across Cambridge on their wedding day.
CEREMONY AT GUSTAZO
We eventually made our way to Gustazo in Cambridge, where the ceremony took place in the downstairs private dining room.
It was an intimate setting for the ceremony, with everyone gathered close before the room shifted into party mode.
THEN, THE PARTY
After the ceremony everyone ate Cuban tapas, gave speeches, and celebrated.
